Estimates And Pricing

Estimates are not final quotes until project details, photos, site conditions, materials, location, scheduling, and the aggregate price for the entire project are reviewed. Any rate, minimum, material charge, or promotional term applies only as described on the page where it appears.

Scheduling And Customer Responsibilities

Scheduling depends on availability. Customers are responsible for providing accurate project details and safe access to the work area. Photos and clear descriptions help Rusty estimate the work and arrive prepared.

Scope Of Work

Trusty Rusty is not licensed by the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB).

Work is limited to casual, minor, or inconsequential work when the aggregate price for labor, materials, and all other items is less than $1,000, the project does not require a building permit, no employee or helper performs or assists with the work, the work is not part of a larger project, and the project is not divided to avoid licensing requirements.

• The work must be casual, minor, or inconsequential.
• The aggregate price for labor, materials, and all other items for the entire project or undertaking must be less than $1,000.
• The work must not require a building permit.
• No employee, helper, or additional worker can perform or assist with the work.
• The work cannot be part of a larger or major project.
• A project cannot be divided into smaller jobs to fit these limits.

These are screening boundaries, not a promise that a request can be accepted or a statement that a legal exemption applies to a particular project.

There is no guarantee that all projects can be accepted. If a project appears out of scope, Rusty may recommend another type of professional before work begins.

Third-Party Platforms And Integrations

For third-party platforms such as Thumbtack, customers and Trusty Rusty may also be subject to that platform's terms. If API or messaging integrations are used, they are for internal lead management, customer communication, and response-time improvement.

SMS Messaging Terms

If you check the optional SMS consent box on the website contact form, text Rusty directly, or otherwise ask for SMS updates about a requested handyman service, you agree to receive text messages from Trusty Rusty. Messages may include scheduling, estimates, arrival coordination, project updates, and direct follow-up about requested services.

Message frequency varies based on your request and active project. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help. Consent to receive text messages is optional and is not required to submit a service request or purchase services.
